Black Hills Spruce

Available Sizes: 5′ – 12′

The Black Hills Spruce (Picea glauca densata) is a dense, pyramidal evergreen tree with deep blue-green needles that are somewhat rigid. Native to the Black Hills, this cousin of the Norway Spruce is denser and more compact, making it ideal for smaller yards and landscaping projects. The Black Hills Spruce prefers full sun to partial shade, requires very little maintenance, and grows slowly but steadily, reaching a height of 30‘–60’ and a spread of 15‘–25’ at maturity.
