It’s a fast-growing and soft-needled evergreen that thrives in the Midwest climate. These pines have a graceful shape with soft needles that grow in clusters of five, for a more natural and relaxed look (not stiff or spiky like some other evergreens). When they’re young, they grow in a nice and neat pyramid shape; and as they mature, take on a more flowing form with gently drooping branches that move with the breeze.

They’re a favorite for larger properties, as they can grow quite tall – up to 80 feet – and need the space to expand. In the summer, they have a lush, green look, and in the winter, a soft bluish tint.
